Araçoiaba da Serra inspires poetic images since its foundation, at XVI century, when it was called “The hide-out of the Sun” by the Native Indians.
Crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn and Araçoiaba Hill, the region is classified by UNESCO as the second best weather in Brazil. And today is a town with a bit more then 22.000 inhabitants that has historical wealth such as the Castle of Priest Peroni, Ipanema Farm, being the cradle of the brazilian ironworks industry and the Araçoiaba Hill with 1.000m of height, it hides up to the present day the enigma of an Inca pyramid. Because of all this attractions, Araçoiaba da Serra was recognized by the Department of Sports and Tourism of São Paulo State and by Embratur as Touristic Town, including hotels and comfortable inns and one of the best climate of Brazil according to UNESCO.
